European Water Chestnut Management in the CT River

This project will slow the spread of European water chestnut, an invasive aquatic species in the Connecticut River, and remove existing plants at 18 unique sites.  Efforts will build upon their existing management program and connect local partners to enact a plan that will educate about water chestnut and its adverse impacts and coordinate removal by volunteers. Grant amount: $3,000
