“Artifishal” Film Screening

February 3, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

free

The third film in the 2019-2020 season of The Elements: An Annual Environmental Film Series is Artifishal.

How far do we go to manufacture wildness? Fish farming is reversing natural selection, devolving fish, and threatening to kill off wild fish and the whales that feed on them. This film explores wild salmon’s slide toward extinction, threats posed by fish hatcheries and fish farms, and our continued loss of faith in nature.

Following the film, we welcome you to stay for an informal discussion led by an expert on the film’s topic.

This film series is open to the public and free of charge.
