Green Grants

The Rockfall Foundation grants support environmental education, conservation and planning projects in Middlesex County. These grants serve as a catalyst for new and imaginative ways to preserve and protect our natural resources while enhancing the quality of life for all county residents.

Grant selections reflect Rockfall's focus on grassroots programs, particulary those that encourage residents to spend more time outside and better understand the county's natural resources and unique character. The foundation seeks programs that inspire residents, young and old, to go outside, take a hike, paddle a local river, dig a garden and, whenever possible, get up close and personal with wildlife.

  • Annual grants support both ongoing programs and start-up intiatives

  • Of special interest are projects involving schools and children in grades K-12, and college interns

  • While modest, the foundation's grants often provide critical seed money and support for groups that don't have large budgets or staff to attract major benefactors or grants

Grant application and selection is overseen by the foundation's Grants committee. Anyone interested in applying is encouraged to learn more about that year's grants process, call the foundation office with questions about specific grant ideas, and attend the workship for grant applicants.

Rockfall's grants program is funded by endowment and by donations. If you would like information on making a donation, please contact Claire Rusowicz at (860) 347-0340 or use our online donation option.
